Our collection boasts over a million artifacts and some 30,000 works of art, making Glenbow one of the largest museums in Canada.

Glenbow is never the same place twice. See travelling exhibitions from around the world as well as intriguing displays curated from Glenbow's collection. New tours are developed throughout the year for all our rotating feature exhibitions.

Blackfoot Gallery Tours

The award winning Niitsitapiisinni: Our Way of Life gallery presents Blackfoot culture and history as it is understood by the Blackfoot people themselves. Follow the Blackfoot from their bison hunting days through making a Treaty with Canada, as well as their experiences with life on reserves and education at residential schools. Hear how Blackfoot people are once more taking control of their own destiny. It is a story of strong spirit, difficult times and rejuvenation.

Mavericks Tours

Meet some of the adventurous, hard-working men and women who helped shape Alberta's history. Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta tells our province's history through 48 individuals and their fascinating stories. Join a Glenbow educator to learn about the maverick spirit that continues to characterize contemporary Alberta.
